Abstract :
NRD guide beam-lead diode mount was analyzed for the purpose of optimization of the NRD guide semiconductor devices. An emphasis is placed on a fully CAD-based simulation by using an electromagnetic field simulator. An agreement between the simulated and measured performances of the beam-lead mount with the Schottky barrier diode was obtained at 60GHz, and thus the validity of the design procedure was confirmed.
