Abstract :
In this paper, the design and implementation of a policy-based power router with power sensors is described. The power router has two inputs and two outputs, and has capability of circuit-switching between sources and appliances depending on various switching policies for efficient allocation of energy. As an example of a policy-based automatic power allocation, the authors have implemented a prototype policy realizing autonomous switching between two different power sources based on sensed data.
