Abstract :
We developed PD detection system based on “Spatial Phase Difference Method” for detecting microwave (GHz) emitted from PD. We applied the PD detection system to the off-line turbine generator in the regular overhaul and the on-line turbine generator that had two built-in antennas. The detection system was able to detect the microwave emitted from PD of a few 1000 pC in operating turbine generator
