Abstract :
The first dynamic calibration results for high temperature sensors at 2000degC using CO2 laser as excitation sources are reported. The short optical pulse rise and fall time of the high power laser makes it possible to heat up the sensing surface of the sensor being calibrated to a high temperature transiently. It is considered the true temperature vs. time relation during dynamic calibration can be received by the fast response infrared detector. The traceability is accomplished successfully through unbroken chain of comparisons with appropriate standard at the same calibration system.
