Abstract :
This paper proposes a regulated DC power supply through photovoltaic (PV) panel and battery for standalone DC application. The system is composed of PV panel, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller using DC-DC boost converter, voltage regulator and battery. The control algorithm aims to extract maximum power from the PV array and manages the power transfer to the DC load using a DC-DC SEPIC converter, respecting the available storage level. The designed system simultaneously supplies the DC power and charge the battery during PV power generation. The control of the output voltage and energy storage is of great significance as the output voltage of the converter depends upon the solar radiation and load.
