Abstract
In this paper, an electrostatic field computations are carried out around the line post insulator under clean and different pollution conditions. In this simulation, finite element analysis (FEA) based electromagnetic engineering software SLIM 3.6.2 is used. As a full pollution, all sheds of the line post insulator are polluted by the coastal dust and seawater. The various voltage distributions and electric fields are studied under clean and full pollution condition.
