  • Abstract
    In this paper, cable life time and its failure rate per 100 km is estimated using artificial neural network (ANN). The only parameter effecting on cable life time and its failure is considered to be operating temperature but actually cable life time is affected by several parameters. The data required for training the network was extracted from previous works being done on cable life time estimation based on mathematical models. From experimental results obtained by the ANN, it was seen that ANN is an appropriate tool for cable life time and its failure rate estimation.
