Abstract :
Techniques for generation of UWB pulses of subnanosecond duration by semiconductor devices are considered in the given work. Characteristics of step recovery diode (SRD) generators and serial pulse diode generators are investigated. The original circuit solutions increasing both the amplitude and the pulse repetition rate are presented. A generator circuit with symmetrical loading allowing to use this generator in the active antenna is proposed.
