Abstract :
A method for solving problems of digital signal processing of video pulse ground penetrating radar (GPR) data based on a generalized approach is proposed. The effective procedure of removing the trend from a GPR signal is synthesized on the basis of Kravchenko-Gauss wavelets. The noise level caused by edge effects is minimized in this procedure. The estimation stability of radio contrasts of images of subsurface layers at the abnormal interference emission is achieved by the signal processing algorithm based on the double median filtering and optimal weighting with the Kravchenko-Hamming window. A further development of methods of similar signal preprocessing is discussed in the paper.
