Abstract :
A computer-based system is used for measurement of partial discharges (PD) and a modular fuzzy logic (MFL) system has been developed whereby a separate FL engine was constructed for recognition of each type of PD fault. The input parameters are selected from the set of integrated quantities and statistical moments which are commonly used to characterise the phase-resolved PD patterns
