Abstract
This paper presents a PWM inverter regulation using a simple single input fuzzy logic controller (SIFLC). Compared to its conventional Two inputs FLC (TIFLC), the proposed SIFLC requires fewer number of rules and tuning parameters. The design complexity is much reduced but its performance is comparable to TIFLC. To verify the viability of the SIFLC, a single-phase PWM inverter utilizing this scheme is designed and constructed. Typical controller performance results for both SIFLC and TIFLC are compared.
