Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the content of serum interleukin 12 p70 (IL-12 p70) and the growth of sarcoma 180(S180) in mice with S180 after injected with the combined bacterin. After transplanted with S180 in mice, all mice were divided into five groups by completely random design (ie, three groups injected with different single bacterin separately, one group injected with the combined bacterin which contains three bacteria strains, one blank control group). After the serum was taken from carotid of the mice, IL-12 (p70) was tested by ELISA, and then the weights of S180 thymus and spleen of the mice were scaled after the mice were anatomized. The contents of IL- 12(p70) of the four different bacterin groups were higher than those of the control group, and those of the combined bacterin were much higher than those of the single bacterin groups. The difference had high statistical significance (P<0.01~0.001) among them. The average weights of S180 of the four different bacterin groups were lower than those of the control group, and those of the combined bacterin were much lower than those of the single-bacterin groups. The difference had high statistical significance (P<0.001) among them. The weights of thymus and spleen among the five groups had no statistical significance (P>0.05).The inhibitory ratio of tumor of the three groups injected with different single bacterin was 42.08%, 37.50%, 43.33% respectively. The inhibitory ratio of tumor of the combined bacterin group was 74.17%. The chosen bacterins in this study can induce the mice to produce IL-12 (p70) and suppress the growth of S180 The effect of then combined bacterin was much better than the single bacterin groups.
