Abstract :
The authors have been working on the design and construction of an intermediary system which will assist non-expert users to access the Ringdoc pharmacological database. The paper examines the extent to which an automated system can provide similar forms of assistance as a search intermediary by reusing electronic forms of printed search aids made available by Derwent Publishing Ltd. and other information sources
