Abstract :
Peer-to-peer (P2P) computing is becoming increasingly popular as the Web continues to grow in both content and the number of connected devices. P2P provides a network that relies on the computing power and bandwidth of the participants in the network rather than concentrating it in a relatively few servers. However, in a P2P environment, most of the time, there are a lot of idle resources that can be harvested. Each peer is autonomous, while connection and network address may vary. A flexible and efficient job scheduling is needed to harvest the idle computing power, which is Motorolareg iDENtrade (integrated digital enhanced network) phones located locally and at plantation. This paper discusses how the distributed automated testing in P2P computing systems, which is using JXTAtrade technology, can be done. And also, what are the advantages of using P2P computing environment rather than the conventional computing system. Furthermore, the job scheduler framework for this P2P system is also included in this paper. The design of this job scheduler is done such a way to allow multiple consumers or clients to schedule the jobs to the resource providers and execute on its own. The result is sent back to the client when done
