  • Abstract
Using stem and leaf of Flos Lonicerae (SLFL) as main substrates to cultivate Pleurotus ostreatus and Lentinula edodes were studied. The main components of SLFL were analysed, the suitable media and strains of both mushrooms were selceted. The results suggested that SLFL may be suitable for mushroom cultivation. Media with mixture of SLFL and cotton hull as main substrates and medium of SLFL added with 10% (w/w) wheat bran were suitable for P. ostreatus cultivation, furthermore, strains of Yu-2 and BK-1 could be popularized in large-scale production of P. ostreatus. Using strain of L-087, the best medium selected for cultivation of L. edodes was that of SLFL 83% (w/w), wheat bran 15% (w/w) and added with 1% (w/w) of gypsum and quicklime. Strains of Yuhua-2 and Yuhua-5 were suitable for culture of flower Lentinula mushrooms using SLFL as main substrates.
