Abstract
In this paper a fuzzy logic based method for harmonic source identification is presented. Harmonic sources are detected by using fuzzy IF-THEN inference rules. The outputs of the fuzzy rule bases are then defuzzified to recover crisp values to identify harmonic sources. Harmonic signals and spectrums which act as an input in the proposed method have been obtained using power quality analyzer. The technique to identify the harmonics sources in power system utilizes the current as well as voltage spectra of loads. Various examples demonstrate the potential of the proposed technique.
