Abstract
A novel filter, called SCF (source consistency filtering), is introduced. In its spatial form, SCF uses the constraints provided by the redundancy of leads of multichannel recordings to distinguish noise from signal. Quantitatively, each lead is predicted using least-squares-method-derived coefficients, and a multichannel coherence of leads and their respective predictions results in an effective noise reduction in electrocardiogram recording
