Abstract :
We use of a new variant of Hyperanalytic Wavelet Transform (HWT) for the denoising of SONAR images affected by speckle noise. This wavelet transform (WT) is associated with a maximum a posteriori (MAP) filter, named bishrink. The best results are obtained with the biorthogonal mother wavelets Daubechies 9/7.
