Abstract
Coverage of the cars is increasing recently, cars are critical to the life. Car accidents are reported every year about the crash and accident causing injury or death because the drivers unable to check the rear when they back the cars. Many companies offer the checking the rear tools to prevent the accident. However, public users cannot attach easily them because they are so expensive. The algorithm of range finding system using only a monocular camera and LED tail lamp attached with a standard car is proposed. However some errors may be observed in the system in case of the object´s form particularly the pole-like objects that are in the parking area. This paper describes the method of detection of the pole-like object area and measurement the distance between the camera and the object.
