Abstract :
This paper presents a new structure for electromagnetic actuator of the vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) and then the operating mechanism of this structure is formulated related to the electromagnetic equations. A program is written in the MATLAB software environment according to these equations, the results of this program is very acceptable and the effects of different parameters on the design procedure can be evaluated completely. Finally a model of the electromagnetic actuator is designed and its operation is studied.
