Abstract :
This paper presents propulsion performance of diagonal MHD accelerator. Propulsion performance of a diagonal MHD accelerator such as thrust and specific impulse are important for quantifying space engine performance. Since flow performances of MHD accelerator related to the thrust and specific impulse, these are also described in this paper. A one dimensional numerical simulation is performed in this research. The MacCormack scheme is employed to solve the set of differential equations with MHD approximations. Numerical results show characteristics of flow parameter and propulsion performance of diagonal MHD accelerator with various setting of constant diagonal angle.
