Abstract :
In this paper a soft switching technique is applied to a bridgeless PFC circuit. The proposed circuit has the benefits of soft switching and low conduction losses. In addition, this converter does not employ any extra switch to provide soft switching. The proposed circuit is controlled by variable frequency method and a simple control method is introduced for this converter. The proposed converter is analyzed and operating modes are discussed. The simulation results justify the theoretical analysis.
