Abstract :
Investigations of copolymerisation of pyrrole and bithiophene by electrochemical methods were carried out using different monomer ratios and deposition potentials. The electrochemical behaviour of the deposited polymer films was studied by cyclic voltammetry. Only one glass transition temperature of the copolymer was observed by differential scanning calorimetry. Thermal degradation was characterized by thermogravimetry. The influence of monomer ratios and deposition potentials on the composition of the copolymer was investigated by Raman spectroscopy. The electrolyte solution after copolymerisation was studied by MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopy. The morphology of the copolymer films characterized by scanning electron microscopy is smooth and compact.
