Abstract
In this paper a new methodology is presented for squirrel cage induction machine control. This methodology uses nonlinear control techniques that assure a good dynamic system performance. The system is intended to have a tracking behaviour. The proposed methodology has a wide application field, making possible an independent use of the system freedom degrees. Field oriented control could be expressed as a singular situation among all choices available with this new methodology. The techniques used in this methodology are the feedback linearization and the sliding mode. Experimental and simulation results illustrate the system performance
