Abstract :
Using conformal mapping technique, the quasi-TEM potential of a waveguide structure containing a pair of parallel metal plates with an embedded vertical metal was analyzed. The effect due to the embedded metal on the capacitance and the charge distribution were calculated. The results were shown as functions of the plate width, separation of the plates, and the length of the embedded metal.
