Abstract :
An asymmetric H-plane T-junction is proposed as a power divider for broadband diplexer applications. The asymmetric T-junction is full-wave characterized by means of its generalized admittance matrix (GAM). A diplexer with this kind of junction and two passband all-pole sixth-order Chebyshev filter channels has been designed. The channel filters have been implemented by means of H-plane symmetrical irises in a rectangular waveguide and characterized by their generalized scattering matrices (GSM). The accurate and efficient full-wave hybrid (GAM+GSM) method has been applied to analyze and optimize the whole structure. The predicted good performance confirms the broadband properties of the proposed asymmetric H-plane T-junction for diplexer applications.
