Abstract :
The goal of this article is description of the process modeling language EXPRESS-P, which was developed for the need of an integrated data and process specification language based on EXPRESS/STEP. The new proposed standard is based on the two standard languages: language SDL (CCITT Z.100) and language Estelle (ISO 9074). The EXPRESS-P language also comes with a graphical representation, which is inherited from standard GRAPES-86. Finally, the EXPRESS-P language is a concurrent state-oriented language based on message passing. In our article we demonstrated the feasibility of EXPRESS-P for industrial application in the field of the modeling of manufacturing process. We also show how can be used for description of technological production process.
