  • Abstract
This paper describes the technique we have employed in the analysis of the cascode structure with resistive feedback used as a transimpedance amplifier and shows a new closed form expression for its frequency response based on the equivalent circuit parameters of the FETs. The predicted transimpedance magnitude, -3 dB bandwidth and ripple are in good agreement with previous simulations. We used this technique for the realization of a DC to 2.5 GHz MMIC amplifier with a transimpedance of 67 dBΩ and a good noise performance
