Abstract :
This paper presents the nonlinear modeling of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) using look up tables. The two lookup tables flux-current-angular position (λ- i - θ) and torque-current-angular position (T- i - θ) are formulated. The value of turn-on (θon) and turn-off (θoff) angles of power converter show considerable impact on the performance of SRM drive. The selection of suitable value of θon and θoff angles can minimize the torque ripple and improve the effective torque. In this paper the performance of SRM in terms of torque ripple and settling time is observed for Step load and Fan load at constant dwell angles. The drive is simulated for the above angles with PI Controller and Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC).
