Abstract :
A double-channel variable polarization system with very short switching time is studied, and the emphasis is focused on the analysis of polarization for the electromagnetic waves, corresponding to transmitting and receiving states, respectively. Moreover, the characteristic parameters of a practical latching ferrite phase shifter in S-band are presented it is found that the device has a high power capacity, low insertion loss, short switching time. These features are extremely useful for building a radar target recognition system and for extraction of polarization information.
