Abstract :
A new formulation and synthesis method for diplexers with or without finite transmission zeros with a prescribed insertion loss at the crossover frequency and with maximally flat response has been developed. The element values are synthesized by using a novel approach which is based on direct formulation of necessary equations in terms of the element values and solving the equations using numerical techniques. Also a new method for obtaining the initial estimates for the numerical solution has been introduced. The method has been successfully applied on various examples
