Abstract
A parallel equivalent circuit of a cylindrical dielectric resonator is analytically deduced. These may be applied to unloaded quality factor computation, useful for complete characterization of the circuit consisting of a dielectric resonator coupled to a microstrip line. For this circuit the scattering matrix parameters in terms of quality factors are given, too
