Abstract
S-shape acceleration/deceleration algorithms play a key role in the development of high speed CNC.This paper first describes the basic formulation of S-shape Acc/Dec, in which the jerk, acceleration, velocity, displacement are discussed in detail. Based on the above considerations, a novel S-shape Acc/Dec algorithm equipped with rounding error compensation tactic is employed which compensates the error at the transition of each segment. Moreover the proposed algorithm can reduce quantization error effectively and a look-ahead technique is also mentioned in this section. Mathematical model and simulation results are presented in section 4. Finally; machining experiments are conducted to investigate the performance of the algorithm.
