Abstract :
Electromagnetic wave scattering from a homogeneous cylinder with an arbitrary smooth transverse cross-section shape, embedded into a stratified medium is considered and a new semi-analytical technique, based on surface potential method, is developed for solving the initial problem. Numerical results are presented for cylinders with different transverse cross-section shapes, located in a homogeneous dielectric layer
