Abstract
The radiation characteristics of magnetic dipoles in a grounded planarly layered structures including both the perpendicularly magnetized ferrite and dielectric media are investigated. The asymmetrical coupled transmission line representation is used to solve the Fourier transformed transversal field equations in the ferrite layer. However, in the dielectric layer the TE and TM modes are decoupled. Electronic beam scanning at millimeter-wave frequencies is obtained by changing the DC magnetic field at suitable conditions. The effects of various material parameters and frequency on the radiation pattern are also examined
