Abstract :
This article provides a study of the relation between the parameters characterizing piezoelectric material´s properties relevant for energy harvesting from cantilever-based energy-harvesting devices (EHD), harvesting energy from vibrational motion. Furthermore, the performance of some piezoelectric materials has been compared with respect to their output power. The mathematical model of a cantilever-based bimorph has been used to analyze the behavior of the systems and subsequent comparison of their performance with respect to different materials.
