Abstract
In this paper, a new technique which converts an availability of sky luminance in tropical climate to standard voltage (0-10 Volt) was proposed. This new conversion system will permit proportional electrical power of equipments or instruments to the sky condition. The system consists of Light Dependent Resistor (LDR), Microcomputer, and Amplifier circuit. While the system is operating, LDRs would detect the sky type (Sky Ratio: Eed/Eeg). The detector network will then display an output voltage. In order to load input signal into a sound card, commands from MATLAB Version 7.0 program is performed. At the same time, the trained Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) predicts the solar quantity when the appearance of solar altitude angle and sky condition is at the input of the ANN. The lamp of 12 V, S Watt is under the experiment control. The results indicate that the relationship of the power on load against sky luminance is consistence with the directed proportion between 0-3 Volts. However, the system shows 9.87% error.
