Abstract :
This work proposes a variable step-size phase acquisition and tracking (VS-PAT) algorithm for blind carrier phase recovery to provide fast convergence in the early stages of adaptation while ensuring small final stochastic gradient noise in communication systems that employ square quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) modulation schemes.
