Abstract :
The statistical evaluation of structural chromosome aberration is a very important biological dosimetry method. An automated chromosome aberration scoring system is fully detailed. This system can find meptaphases, recognise and score aberrant chromosome automatically. The whole procedure of recognising and scoring aberrant chromosome includes preprocessing of digital image of metaphases, the selection and extraction of features and the construction of a hierarchical classifier, etc. The results of experiments are discussed
