Abstract :
In this paper, we explore the use of reverse micelle systems to investigate the terahertz absorption of varying water trehalose solutions. Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) spectroscopy and molecular dynamic simulations were used to determine the absorption at each concentration. Both sets of results showed increasingly sterically hindered waters with increasing trehalose concentration.
