Abstract
Multilayer ceramic (MLC) capacitor designs which demonstrate high resonant frequency, exceptionally low effective series resistance, and high retention of effective capacitance up to resonance have been implemented and tested. These characteristics indicate that MLC capacitors can be used in small high switch frequency, modular power supplies. Properly designed and manufactured, MLC capacitors demonstrate megahertz resonant frequency, milliohm ESR, and good capacitance retention
