Abstract :
In order to reach a bigger NO2 -/NO3 - value in post-processing of biological shortcut nitrification, the pretreatment of the ammoniac wastewater was carried out using TiO2 photo-catalysis, and the optimizing reaction conditions were obtained. The results showed that after TiO2 pretreatment the NO2 -/NO3 - value in the wastewater was greater than 2 through adjusting the pH value of reaction solution, photocatalytic reaction time as well as controlling the initial ammonia-nitrogen concentration of 18.7 mmol/L in wastewater. This technique also demonstrated that the TiO2 photocatalytic method is easy to maintain NO2 - accumulation steadily, and can also offer advantaged conditions for the enhancement of the following biological shortcut nitrification efficiency.
