Abstract :
Launched in 2008, THEOS has successfully received data. China has signed an agreement about receiving, processing, archiving, and distributing THEOS data with GISTDA. The data of THEOS will soon be applied to and play an important role in resources surveying, environment monitoring, disaster assessing, mapping, and digital city. However, the study about pansharpening methods of THEOS images is still limited. Besides, it has a high spatial resolution ratio between the multispectral image and panchromatic image of THEOS data, It´s quite valuable to study on the pansharpening methods of this kind of data. The pansharpening methods of high spatial resolution ratio images are discussed in detail in this paper. In order to improve the quality of the pansharpening image, the multi-step pansharpening method is introduced. The quality of the pansharpening images is analyzed from the two aspects of spatial and spectral information. According to the experiments, the pansharpening methods for THEOS data are suggested for the users finally.
