Abstract :
Currently the 60 GHz band is being considered as the most attractive option for the design of very high rate (multi Gbps) short range communication systems. These systems will use antenna directionality to offset the high path loss and to achieve a higher degree of spatial reuse. Besides providing a power gain, directional antennas change the observed multipath. In this paper, we study different effects of the antenna directionality on the capacity of the 60GHz channel.
