  • Abstract
    In this paper, a Ka-band transceiver (T/R) front-end module for wide band and high speed wireless communication is presented. A new multilayer PCB structure is proposed. With this structure, entire millimeter wave system can be integrated on one board. The performance of the T/R front-end module is measured. In order to verify the feasibility of the T/R front-end module for practical wireless communication applications, a complete wireless communication system with two T/R front-end modules is designed and implemented. A 16QAM signal with a date rate of 20 Ms/s and a 512QAM signal with a date rate of 5 Ms/s are used to evaluate the system performance. Experimental results are satisfactory.
