Abstract :
A new reconfigurable charge pump topology with tunable conversion ratio is proposed. Analysis of this charge pump shows that it is very suitable for solar energy harvesting. Based on the proposed charge pump, a solar energy harvesting system, which delivers optimum harvesting efficiency, is designed. Both the conversion ratio and the switching frequency of the charge pump are tuned to search for the maximum power point of the whole system under different operation environment. Post-layout simulation results show that our system has a higher efficiency than the conventional design.
