Abstract :
Three different maintenance strategies are presented from theoretical approach to a practical study case: first come - first served - FCFS, relative priority - RP and total priority - TP. The useful results shows how to include the maintenance strategies in reliability calculations and their influence on the reliability indices like steady-state point availability, steady-state time interval reliability, MTTF and system´s reliability. An industry practical application related to reliability-maintenance relationship for the generating units of SH Râmnicu-Vâlcea County, a Romanian Hydro Power Company is included in this paper.
