  • Abstract
The paper presents realization of portable offset antenna for 20/30 GHz SATCOM applications. A dual mode feed horn (TE11 & TM11 modes) has been used as feed for offset reflector antenna. Higher order modes generated in feed horn at 30 GHz has been taken care of, as transmit frequency band is far away from receive frequency band. Antenna system has been simulated on GRASP9 software [TICRA, Denmark]. The simulated and measured results show good agreement. The antenna has been configured in man pack USAT which can be used for multimedia connectivity.
