Abstract :
Current system export practice is reviewed, and a promising export region, Nigeria, is selected and surveyed for resources and markets. An expert system design method is developed. The design optimization method appears promising for feasibility studies and optimal design of individual PV power systems. The life-cycle costs of the optimized PV drinking water pumping system appear to be within economic reach of villages in dry northern regions in Nigeria.
