Abstract :
These Climate change becomes a major concern in countries where food production is a fundamental component of its economy. Temperature is probably the single most important factor influencing insect behavior, distribution, development, survival and reproduction. In recent years many new pests have been recorded in Tamilnadu (India) causing economic damage and consuming more insecticides for keeping the pest below economic threshold level. Some important new pest which assumed major pest status are discussed.
